Steve is a seasoned security professional with over 27 years experience in law enforcement, crime and security intelligence roles. He is a recognised and respected security intelligence leader within the UK security industry with a passion for helping clients make the best security decisions.
He founded Steer Security in 2023 to help his clients solve their security challenges, by understanding their risks to people, assets and brand and to solutions to protect them.
He has assembled a team of highly experienced and similarly passionate security consultants and partners in regulatory, intelligence, physical security and cyber security disciplines.
Julian Stone BEM MSyL
Consultant
Julian is an award winning strategic security intelligence analyst. He has global threat intelligence expertise, particularly around counter terrorism from his background in international relations and development within the UK Ministry of Defence. Julian helps clients understand risk and threats to their business, people and assets through intelligence reports and oral briefings to senior leadership.
In 2022 Julian was presented with the British Empire Medal in recognition for a body of exceptional humanitarian and development work.

Consultant
Chris is a former UK Ministry of Defence intelligence analyst, with extensive experience in counter-terrorism and cyber warfare. He has exceptional skills in open source intelligence gathering and analysis, with experience in helping clients to understand a variety of security threats. His expertise includes serious organised crime, corporate investigations and cyber security.
Chris is a recognised expert in international terrorism and has previously advised international military organisations on complex terror techniques. He has supported UK law enforcement in high profile, international criminal investigations and international corporate organisations with understanding risks to their senior people.
